Incomparable Riches of His Grace

No doubt we are broken one way or another by what we had gone through in life. Our failures, disappointments, tragic events, betrayals or u-turns by colleagues, family, friends or special friends even spouses. No doubt too that as we come to Jesus we are reconciled to the Father and He heals our brokenness, makes us whole again and come alive in Christ. We have a new repurposed life and we have now become more like the Wolverine, our heart heals much faster than it used to because of the power and grace of God in our lives. Do we go through brokenness after knowing Jesus? Yes, it’s part of life but we are more forgiving, less bitter, more compassionate. Things that used to rile us up – we are more relaxed. Why? Because of the grace of God in our lives.

In Ephesians 2:7, Paul writes about God raising us up with Christ and seated us up with Him in the heavenlies in order that in the coming ages He may show us the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. It is this grace that we are saved through faith, it is a gift of God, not from ourselves or by works.

We should look forward to this increasing grace in the coming ages, the incomparable riches of His grace. That as we walk with Him in faith, we will experience more and more of Him, His presence and His grace upon and in our lives. Perhaps, we can’t heal internally like the Wolverine yet. Perhaps we still take time, not instantaneously yet. But it will become faster and we will recover better. We will no longer hold bitterness in our hearts that poisons and kills us slowly. When people hurt us, we can let it pass. We can forgive and sometimes even forget. If Christ can forgive and erase our transgressions, we too can do so of the transgressions of others. We are receiving and experiencing more of the incomparable riches of His grace in our lives as we walk this path of faith. Our walk of faith is exciting and will be full of wonders and surprises as God reveals more of Himself to us, as we put our trust and faith in Him! Perhaps, one day our brokenness will no longer bother us anymore. Let’s continue walking this walk of faith in Christ Jesus, giving our all to Him in all that we do! Praise the Lord for the goodness of God in our lives! He is good, all the time!
